October 2013 commemorated the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy’s signing of the Community Mental Health Act. To mark the occasion, Trilogy President and CEO, John Mayes, and our Chief Development Officer, Ruth McMahon, attended the inaugural Kennedy Forum Conference on October 24th with innovators and leaders in the mental health community from across the country. Congressman Patrick Kennedy launched The Kennedy Forum to “create a national conversation that will allow us to remove the stigma surrounding mental illness and to once and for all achieve parity by treating the brain the same way we treat the rest of the body.”
