Trilogy Mental Health Advocate Featured in National Council Magazine!
(l to r) John H., Trilogy Mental Health Advocate; Caroline Judd, Trilogy ACT Team Leader
On September 17, 2013, National Council for Behavioral Health Magazine released its "50 Years, 50 Stories" issue, which celebrates 50 years of the Community Mental Health Act. The issue focuses on the achievements in mental health over the last 50 years and we are thrilled that John, an individual whom Trilogy transitioned out of a nursing home as part of the Williams Consent Decree, is profiled in this commemorative issue.
After 17 years in a nursing home, the Williams Consent Decree gave John the opportunity to move into his own apartment and to start learning how to live independently. With the help and support of Trilogy’s Williams Transition Team and Caroline Judd, a Team Leader for Trilogy’s ACT team, John has been self-sufficient in his own place for over a year, all while maintaining his 11th year of sobriety.
