Kevin P. Brown, Chairperson

Kevin P. Brown is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1978 and his Juris Doctorate in 1983. Since entering the practice of law, he has concentrated his practice in the areas of employment, corporate, commercial and real estate law and litigation. He is admitted to practice in both Illinois and Wisconsin, is a member of the Federal Trial Bar and has argued cases before the Illinois Appellate Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He is a member of the American, Illinois, Wisconsin and Chicago Bar Associations. He is also a member of The Executive’s Club, and the North Business & Industrial Council and sits on the Board of Directors of Trilogy as the Chairperson. Kevin also is a member of the Development and Human Resources Committee.

Catherine Barnhart, Vice Chairperson

Dr. Catherine Barnhart has her doctorate in clinical psychology from The Chicago School and is currently working at Jewish Child and Family Services doing psychotherapy and psychological testing with children, adolescents, and their families. In addition, she provides supervision participates in training, and runs group therapy. She lives in the Ravenswood area and grew up in Lincoln Park. She attended Francis W. Parker for 14 years and then ventured to Denver, Colorado to attend the University of Denver, receiving her BA in Psychology in 1998. After that she worked as a mental health professional at a Residential Treatment Center for two years where she worked with many children with mental illness. Upon moving back to Chicago to work on her doctorate, she came upon Trilogy through a friend's mother. She was recruited for the Trilogy Board of Directors in October 2003 and has served as the Program Quality Committee Chair and as the Vice-Chair of the Board. She is passionate about this Mission of Trilogy and the services it offers the people in the community suffering with the struggles of mental illness.

Catherine A. Brownlee, Secretary

Cathy is currently Executive Director of the Association of Professional Design Firms (APDF). In addition to her role as APDF Executive Director, Cathy is an Account Supervisor for West + Associates (located in McLean, Virginia), spearheading new business development and project management efforts in the Chicago area. Previously, Cathy was Vice President of Client Services for BHI Design. Cathy worked as a marketing services executive for eight years with Hartmarx

Corporation, and as an account executive with Chicago-based JTC Advertising and worked in the newspaper business at Capital Newspapers in Madison, Wisconsin. Cathy earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism/advertising at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also holds a business administration certificate from the University of Illinois-Chicago’s Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies. Currently she’s enrolled in the University of Chicago’s Strategies in Nonprofit Management Certificate Program .She has been active in community organizations such as the Partners in Education tutoring program for public housing children and the Tri-Masters Sports Initiative Program, In addition to her position as a Board Member of Trilogy, Inc., Cathy’s other professional activities include membership and participation in the National Investor Relations Institute and Executive Women International. Cathy joined Trilogy’s Board of Directors October 2005 and currently serves on the Membership Committee.

Michael B. Lowe, Chairperson of Finance

Michael Lowe is an Executive Coach responsible for quality delivery of leadership coaching to clients of Lee Hecht Harrison, a leading human capital consulting firm. Prior to Lee Hecht Harrison, he was an Executive Vice President for Harris Bank, a member of the Bank of Montreal Group of Companies with over 30,000 employees. During his 38 year business career, he has served in the US, Canada and the U.K. in Retail, Corporate and Investment Banking and Human Resources. In addition to numerous line positions, Michael is recognized for guiding senior executive teams and individuals through times of significant change, including reorganizations, acquisitions, divestitures and outsourcing initiatives. Michael serves on several boards, including Trilogy, The Career Transition Center and the School for New Learning at DePaul University. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Psychology and an MBA, both from McGill University. He is an alumnus of the University of Michigan’s Executive Human Resources Program and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Michael joined Trilogy’s Board in June 2006 and currently serves on the Human Resource Committee. Michael has a son, daughter and two grandchildren. He and his wife, Jill, live in Chicago where he enjoys running, skating, golf, fly fishing, theater and music.

John L. Blumenshine

John Blumenshine is Vice President of Facilities for S&C Electric Co., John is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (’76). He is a member of the Executive’s Club of Chicago, Past Chairman of the Board and Board Member of the Alliance for Illinois Manufacturing, Board Member of the Association for Facilities Engineering Foundation, Board Member of the UIC Engineering Strategic Advisory Committee, Chair and Board Member for the Facilities Management and Engineering Curriculum Advisory Committee at Oakton Community College, a member of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Council and Chair of its Manufacturing Committee, Board Member of the Foundation for Maintenance Excellence, and involved in many other civic and community activities John has been a Board Member for Trilogy Inc. since August 1997 and currently serves on the Building and Grounds committee.

Stephen M. Fatum

Stephen M. Fatum is a partner in the Chicago office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP. He concentrates his practice in the Healthcare Department. Mr. Fatum’s focus has been on legal and strategic matters affecting physicians, physician organizations and not-for-profit corporations. Mr. Fatum is the former general counsel of Advocate Medical Group, S.C., and before holding this position, he served as general counsel of the Lutheran General Medical Group, S.C. He acted as assistant general counsel of Lutheran General HealthSystem. Mr. Fatum is a frequent speaker on physician hospital relationships for hospital chief operating officers and chief financial officers as well as for physician leaders.

Mr. Fatum is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and has served as chair of the Healthcare Section Council. He is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys. In addition to serving as a member of the Board of Directors of Trilogy, Mr. Fatum also serves on the Boards of Midwest Young Artists and the Development Council for the Chicago Province of the Jesuits.

Mr. Fatum received his law degree from Emory University School of Law in 1985 and his B.A. degree in history from Holy Cross College in 1981. He is admitted to practice in the state of Illinois

*Mary E. Johnson

Mary Johnson, PhD, RN received her undergraduate degree from Loyola University, her master's degree in nursing from the University of Illinois and her doctorate from Loyola University in Chicago. She currently is an Associate Professor in the department of Community and Mental Health Nursing at Rush University Medical Center, College of Nursing. In addition to teaching, she conducts research in the area of aggression and violence on inpatient psychiatric units and has a particular interest in factors that contribute to safety on the unit. She has been on the Trilogy Board since January 1999 and has served as Chairperson of the Program Quality Committee and Chairperson of the Board. She is currently on the Development Committee and Chairs the Event Committee.

Rosetta Sullivan

Rosetta Sullivan, received her undergraduate degree from Chicago State University in Chicago. She is currently a Recovery Specialist in the Group Services department at Trilogy, Inc. In addition to working as a Recovery Specialist, she volunteers at New Life Interim Housing for women and children. She has been on the Trilogy Board since January 2006. She currently serves on the Human Resources Committee. She currently lives in Chicago, and enjoys film, reading, and writing poetry.
