This February, Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare celebrates Black History Month with special events at several organization locations for our staff and clients. Each week this month is dedicated to a different theme that highlights the richness and diversity of ‘Black History’, culminating in a big event on February 23rd.
In case you missed it, February 1st - 7th paid tribute to Black Arts. The opening celebrations started with a creative bang featuring performances by clients, as well as presentations, films, and trivia revolving around Black pioneers in the Arts.
February 8th -14th celebrates Black Leadership. Activities featured in the drop-in centers will educate participants about these leaders and include screenings of movies like “Selma”, and “Southside With You”. Our final theme for the month is Black Excellence in Athletics, from February 15th – 22nd. More movies, trivia games for the chance to win a number of prizes, and open mics are expected during the weeks’ activities. In order to ensure that more clients and staff can participate in this year’s event, the organizer, Alexandra Johnson planned events at our Northside and Southside locations.
