EVENT DESCRIPTION
Trilogy's Kickin' the Blues 2011 is an empowering celebration to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental illness. Guests will be served delicious hors d'oeuvres while they bid on novelty baskets filled with Chicago-themed treasures. A live auction will be held during dinner and Partner in Recovery Awards will be given to deserving individuals and legislators. After dinner, more than 200 guests will be treated to the music of Chainsaw Dupont and the Blues Warriors, a Chicago blues band who offer a new, modern take on classic blues styles, including rock and hip-hop elements.

Event: Kindred Connections - Consumers, families and practitioners, come together, in a supportive group atmosphere, to create a partnership, develop problem-solving and coping skills. Family is defined as anyone committed to the care and support of the person with mental illness and does not have to be a blood relative. Our Kindred Connections Program is aligned with national evidence-based standards for Family Psychoeducation which assures that the interventions employed are proven to produce effective results.
